Common Goods
|
Common Goods is a new, trendy thrift store for the
community-minded shopper, owned by Bridges of Hope.
Common Goods offers high-quality goods at reasonable
prices, including a range of clothing, high-end fashion
accessories, casual and one-of-a-kind home furnishings,
and unique furniture pieces.
Our goal is to have a major impact on the number of
products leaving our area and entering our landfills. We
work to recycle and redistribute these goods within the
community, extending their use. As a result, local
donations stay local and proceeds from the store serve
local families in need.
As part of our commitment to community and family, we
are now offering Story Hour each Wednesday and Saturday
from 10:00 am -11:00 am.
Donation Guidelines & Information
We accept donations of clean, undamaged,
gently-used, quality:
- clothing
- furniture
- housewares
- books
- collectables
- yarn
We are happy to provide you with a donation receipt for
tax purposes right when you drop off your items. We
offer furniture pick-up!
Common Goods cannot accept or resell
the following items; however many of these items can be
donated to one of our community partners and we can help
direct you to the right local agency upon request: |
- Small and Large Appliances
- Baby Equipment and Furniture
- Construction Materials
- Electronics
- Computers and Phones
- Mattresses and Box Springs
- Sleeper Sofas
- Waterbeds
- Stuffed Animals
- Scratched, broken or chipped dishware, glassware
and pots & pans
- Text and reference books
- Any items with holes, mildew, tears, stains,
etc.

| The following items cannot be donated at any
Area Agency or Store: |
- Automotive chemicals or parts
- Weapons, including bullets, knives, bows, arrows
- Explosives or harmful toxic materials
|
Please contact the Crow Wing County Landfill
(218.828.4392) to dispose of these materials.
About Common Goods
Common Goods was created to be a venue for community
members to give their time, talents and treasures, which
supports the ongoing work of Bridges of Hope, a 501(c)3
faith-based nonprofit organization serving children and
families in the Lakes Area. Volunteers are always
