Programs & Services

Experiencing a family crisis? Not sure where to turn next?

Bridges of Hope serves children and families in Crow Wing County and the surrounding communities. Our focus is on assisting families in crisis--whatever the crisis may be--and our staff specializes in connecting families with local resources by drawing on both traditional human services and non-traditional supports.  We work to have an expert knowledge of ALL of our area resources and how to access them.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our services, please call 218.825.7682 or 888.750.7682 to speak with a staff member about your unique situation.

OUR CURRENT PROGRAMS

Crisis Nursery Services: providing safe, no-cost, short-term crisis childcare for children 0-12 in Crow Wing County and the surrounding areas. In 2011, we assisted in arranging and providing 165 households (541 people) with short-term childcare during a family crisis.

Family Support Services: a strength-based approach to help families thrive by setting goals with parents and offering support and resources. This program served 129 households (471 people) in 2011.

Mentoring Services: a new program, launched in fall 2012. The mission of this program, called Side by Side, is to move participants from survival to sustainability by increasing informal assets through mentoring relationships.

Respite Services: providing short-term, ongoing, regularly-scheduled breaks for parents and caregivers of children with mental health and/or behavioral challenges. This service is new in 2012.

Resource Connection Services: acting as a single point of entry in the community for individuals and families with a short-term challenge or need; providing access to the resources they need to regain stability. In 2011 we assisted 2,072 households (5,387 people) through this program.
