Thanksgiving and Christmas
Assistance Programs - 2011 Guidelines

Bridges of Hope is the coordinating agency
for the Thanksgiving Baskets & Christmas Gifts programs
in Criw Wing County
to give to those in need in our community. This
program has been run in tandem with the Salvation Army’s
program (and others) for many years, to ensure all programs are
serving different households.
Makes a great service project for a youth group,
small group, service club, your office, your entire
church, or your own family!
Last year this program served 200
households for Thanksgiving and 220 households for
Christmas. Thank you for your generosity to families in
How it Works
Area churches, businesses, groups and individuals
call Bridges of Hope to sponsor as many households as they wish (for one or both
of the holidays).
A few weeks before
the holiday, Bridges of Hope will give you the names,
addresses, and driving directions for the household you’ve sponsored. Then you get to go shopping!
Bridges of Hope is seeking approximately 400
sponsors (~200 for each program) and 40 food or gas gift
cards (for Christmas).

The week before the holiday
(November 17-23), you’ll get to personally deliver your
basket to the family or individual you've sponsored.

10 in order to set up a time to bring the basket

There are two sponsorship options available:
Option 1: Donate a
food or gas card in the amount of $25.00 to Bridges of
Hope for single adults in need in the community.

a household (children ages 0-17 sign up for gifts &
clothing; parents indicate a preference for a food or
